Future Fund

The West Harbour Future Fund is a proposed long-term investment fund designed to strengthen the financial security of West Harbour Rugby Club.

Built as a protected corpus, the Fund aims to grow steadily over time while providing sustainable annual support for Club operations, infrastructure and strategic projects. The Future Fund will ensure that every contribution made today continues to benefit the Club well into the future.

The Future Fund may also be used to support new initiatives or capital projects.

The establishment of the Future Fund creates a transparent and well-governed mechanism for philanthropic support. Key principles include:

• Funds are managed prudently, with annual reporting to members

• The Future Funds performance is included in the Financial Statements to Members

While the Future Fund is intended to be preserved, it may be accessed in exceptional circumstances to support essential Club operations. Any withdrawal of principal would require:

• approval via special resolution supported by members

This ensures that emergency use of the fund remains rare, tightly controlled, and aligned with members’ expectations.
